“FLYING,” the debut single from the EP “Do You Remember Love,” is an improvisational reimagination of Noriko Miyamoto’s “My Life.” After producer Stephen Schroeder rearranged certain aspects of the song, he and the other musicians injected life into the track by using real instruments to give the new track an unmistakable authenticity.
Plenn and Wykert expound on the synergy they’ve built around for years, breaking out into a frenetic, free-jazz inspired improv explosion. Despite this jolting detour, the track maintains a driving trip-hop groove that is very swanky. They are joined by Michael “Hot Mike” Romero on bass (another HARD TAYS NIGHT mainstay) and UK’s own Shari on vocals.
